What We Do
With the advanced technology of the polyurethane system, Arizona Foundation Works can perform concrete lifting, leveling and soil stabilization for commercial and residential applications. Our foundation or concrete rehabilitation includes both interior and/or exterior foundation repair and stabilization. Our polyurethane application can address weak soil compaction, void-filling washouts and sinkholes and drainage control for soil stabilization. When you choose Arizona Foundation Works, we restore both the foundation and its supporting soil. Our process is quick, clean, minimally intrusive, and an effective solution performed by experienced professional technicians.
How It Works
Concrete slabs are usually poured on top of soil, which shifts over time, and can create voids or cavities. These voids may have been created by improper compaction of soil, poor drainage, or leaking water lines. Shifting, settling and voids can create havoc on the concrete above. At Arizona Foundation Works, we utilize an advanced technology of polyurethane foam specially formulated for sub-grade applications. We have systems available to perform in both wet and dry soil conditions. We correct concrete issues by injecting polyurethane foam into the affected area through a small 5/8" hole that is drilled into the concrete. The polyurethane foam expands as it moves beneath the concrete, conforming to the contours of the size, and shape of the void. The feature of our system is lightweight, yet strong and durable, which reduces weight on existing soil conditions. This technology is much less intrusive, and much more efficient and cost-effective than other traditional methods.
